| Plantonic Sex, adapted from the novel written by a famous Japanese novelist, Iijima Ai, tells the tale of a young teenage girl, Kana (played by Hoshino Mari) in her search for love. Many themes were dealt with in this drama, like: family, love, rape, delinquency, teen prostitution etc. The drama shows the stages of how Kana grows up and go through life after she ran away from home on her 16th birthday. How she went about looking for love, wanting to be loved, coping with the realities and difficulties of life thrown at her. *****WARNING****** I listed out some major events below which to some might be spoilers, so if you don't want to know, pls do not scroll down. ********************* Rebelling against her parents. Running away from home. Raped by her boyfriend's friend. Picked up by a guy who provided her with lodging and money. Becoming a bar girl. Becoming an AV actress. These are scenes you will see when you watch the drama.... So, did Kana find love in the end? It's for you to find out. |
